Niseko Honey

たくさんの魅⼒をもつニセコのなかでも、ひと際有名なのが、ニセコハニー。ニセコ連邦の⼭々で育った⽊々や花々の蜜を蜂が吸ってハチミツがつくられますが、その⼀⾓には、エゾアカシアの⽊が過半数を占める場所があり、その⼀⾓で取れたハチミツは希少な“エゾアカシアハチミツ”と呼ばれています。出来上がったハチミツの成分を分析し、エゾアカシアを9 割含んでいればエゾアカシアハチミツ、9割を満たさないものは百花ハチミツとされ、その価値は雲泥の差で変わってしまうのです。
Niseko Honey is a rare treasure that captures the essence of the Niseko mountains. Our bees gather nectar from the trees and flowers that grow on the mountains’ slopes, creating the one-of-a-kind “Ezo Acacia Honey.” Our honey undergoes rigorous testing, and if it contains at least 90% Ezo Acacia, it receives certification as the coveted Ezoacacia honey. Honey that falls short of this standard is known as Mixed Flower Honey, but it pales in comparison to the exceptional quality of Ezo Acacia Honey.

【エジプトと蜂蜜】 ミツバチが地球上に現れたのは約1~2 千万年前と⾔われています。そして、ミツバチと⼈との関係はハチミツの採集に始まり、その歴史は太古のエジプトにまで遡ります。2500年以上も昔のエジプトの貴族の遺跡には養蜂の様⼦が描かれた壁画が残っており、これが世界で初めて養蜂をはじめた国、エジプトの最古の養蜂の証とされ、⼈類とハチミツとの歴史が始まりました。
